Shared note	According to my Grandmother, Eleanor Riddel, and daughter of Amelia & Elmer Grant: "My Mother & Dad met in Montana. Mom had went out to work for a cousin. Married in Miles City, Montana - Sept 8, 1915. Moved to Peru, Kansas one winter because of drought - back to Montana. I was in the 1st grade at that time. Then more droughts and depression. They sold out again and moved to near Castle Rock, MN. I was in 5th grade. Sold out there because a poor farm, hills & rock & depression. Moved to Osage, MN - between Osage & Park Rapids - about 40 acres of Jack Pinetrees & a tarpapered shack are lived in - 3 rooms in a row. Had to brace of kitchen floor - sagging. I started 3 yr high school and quite had to walk. No fav and it was so cold. Quit school; in spring Uncle Walter wanted Dad to take care of his farm - so moved to Uncle Walter's until we found a house - beginning my life in MN."
