Shared note

The first time that Elizabeth Grant was cited was in baptismal
documents for 1793 (previously known as Widow Grant). She may have
died
at the birth of her last child Reuben who was probably born in 1795
and was baptized in 1797 or about this time as no further mention was
made of her.
Her petition for a land grant has her husband as an enlisted soldier so Major James Grant and wife Penuel are NOT her husband's parents as she is often mistakenly listed in various databases.
