Shared note

Ailee was actually born before the town of Clarendon was
officially founded.
Then I found in IGI microfish at the LDS library that Wm Chapman and
Ailee Williams were married 9/29/1785 and then they must have
immediately left for Clarendon before the winter set in, as their
daughter Mary Chapman was born in Clarendon, Rutland Co., VT 2/03/1786.
The IGI also indicated their marriage was a civil ceremony, probably
because Ailee was already pregnant and that may be why they quickly left
Providence for Clarendon, to avoid the scandel.
